The first phase of the digital transformation of PINDOS Ioannina Agricultural Poultry Cooperative was successfully completed, marking a major milestone in one of the most demanding IT projects within the agri-food sector in Greece. The implementation was based on the advanced PYLON HYBRID platform by Epsilon SingularLogic, reaffirming both parties’ commitment to technological innovation with tangible impact on PINDOS’ day-to-day operations.
With a history of over 67 years and a leading position in the Greek agri-food industry, PINDOS demonstrates through this strategic investment that innovation and technology are core pillars of its sustainable development strategy. Rooted in Epirus and guided by a human-centered approach, PINDOS continues to evolve its production model, laying the digital foundations for a more resilient, flexible, and transparent operational structure.

As part of the project’s first phase, the following key actions were implemented:
- Comprehensive documentation and redesign of all Cooperative operations across the entire range of its business activities.
- Design of the overall cloud architecture and migration plan, including the alignment of historical and master data with the new system structure.
- Adoption of best practices and operational models in the following areas:
- Financial and Commercial Management (ERP)
- Procurement and Supply Management
- Production Planning (MRP) and Quality Control (QC)
- Warehouse and Distribution Management (WMS)
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing
- Ecommerce solutions (B2B, B2C, Mobile distribution, xVan, Merchandising)
- End-to-end production cycle, including Producer Network, Hatchery, Slaughterhouse, Fertilizer Unit, and Feed Mill
- Business Intelligence (BI) and Management Information Systems (MIS) for effective decision support
This integrated approach provides PINDOS with real-time visibility and control over every stage of the production chain, ensuring high standards in quality, traceability, and speed from farm to final consumer. The horizontal and vertical digitalization of operations sets new industry standards.
In parallel, three digital solutions were fully deployed in production:
- Epsilon Digital for e-invoicing and tax data transmission, extended to 600 cooperative producers through the Epsilon Smart platform, ensuring full digitization and automation of previously manual processes, as well as effective tax compliance.
- PYLON HRMS & SMART Ergani, providing:
- Full compliance with the current regulatory framework
- Support for special labor contracts, mobile time tracking, and management of shift changes, overtime, absences, and leave
- Certified E-invoicing Service Provider
The project is progressing in line with the original plan and budget, confirming the systematic work and dedication of our teams to delivering high-quality and measurable results within the framework of a strategically important initiative with high expectations.
- 300+ concurrent users
- 20 distribution centers
- 4 retail outlets
- 6 production facilities
- 300 owned trucks
- 15,000 customers and over 30 million transactions annually
- 50+ business processes integrated into the PINDOS ecosystem
These figures reflect the scale and complexity of the PINDOS ecosystem. Through digital transformation, a new, unified information environment is being established, enhancing interoperability across all operational units and empowering real-time decision-making.
"Our collaboration with the Epsilon SingularLogic team is marked by excellent communication, deep expertise, and a strong sense of responsibility. Their focus on risk management throughout our digital transition allows us to move forward with confidence, keeping the project on schedule and within budget. The adoption of globally recognized project management practices and methodologies—such as Agile—has enabled us to structure this journey in a way that leaves no gaps or loose ends, minimizing the likelihood of any issues. Through this process, we’ve also achieved a highly detailed documentation of all PINDOS processes and operations, creating a true ‘Operating Bible’—a valuable tool for future internal use. This collaboration has been extremely successful, high in quality, and conducted at the highest professional level, forming a cohesive team that is building the solution step by step. I am very optimistic about the next phase of the program, which will be highly substantial, dynamic, and creative, and will allow the organization to begin experiencing the true potential of the PYLON platform."
"The completion of the project's first phase and the recent Steering Committee meeting highlighted our deep understanding of the Cooperative’s critical operations. The transition to the new structures is progressing steadily, in line with the plan, paving the way for the next phases of digital transformation—with reduced risk and maximum value".
