Data Communication, a member of the EPSILON NET Group, has successfully transitioned Rainbow Waters, Greece’s leading water cooler and filter company, to the cloud version of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Rainbow Waters is not just the largest water cooler and filter company in Greece but also ranks third in Europe. With 360 employees, over 70 service points across the country, and a distribution network of 152 vehicles, the company serves 450,000 satisfied customers, including households and businesses, reaching over 1.6 million consumers daily. Rainbow Waters offers a wide range of water coolers for both commercial and home use, as well as water filters for purification and filtration, supported by specialized staff for installation and replacement. Additionally, the company markets coffee products, beverages, and healthy snacks, issuing over 1 million invoices annually.
For its digital upgrade to the cloud version of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central InnovEra, Rainbow Waters relied on the expertise of Data Communication, further strengthening their successful collaboration on Microsoft solution projects.
The project was quite demanding, involving 130 users and requiring integrations with various systems such as DIAS/RF, CRM, Yuboto, Fidelity, Galaxy SFA, Atcom, and Power BI, as well as supporting complex customizations. Notably, the implementation had to be carried out during specific periods when the company was closed. Additionally, due to the use of an older version of Microsoft Dynamics Nav (2013) with localization from another vendor, a complete integration of InnovEra’s localization was achieved, including the transfer of a decade’s worth of system data.
The cloud transition was successfully completed within eight months from its inception, with minimal downtime during the company’s closed periods, ensuring smooth operation before the summer season began.
The solution has been live for several months now, forming the cornerstone of Rainbow Waters’ digital transformation, enabling the company to operate more efficiently and flexibly than ever before. The initial benefits of the new system include:
- Increased efficiency: Using a unified cloud system has simplified operational processes, reducing management time and increasing productivity.
- Improved collaboration: Users now have immediate access to information from any location, facilitating inter-departmental collaboration.
- Enhanced data security: The company’s data is now more secure in the cloud, with regular backups and advanced protection measures.
- Flexibility & scalability: The cloud allows easy adaptation and expansion of Rainbow Waters’ systems according to its needs.
- Cost reduction: Moving to the cloud has reduced the maintenance and upgrade costs of IT systems.
