THE DEPUTY CEO OF THE GROUP TALKS ABOUT THE ERA OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN BUSINESS SOFTWARE AND REVEALS THE COMPANY’S NEXT DEVELOPMENT PLANS.
New, far greater capabilities are emerging from the use of Artificial Intelligence in business software compared to what was previously known regarding the needs it serves.
Vassiliki Anagnostou, Deputy CEO of EPSILONNET Group, a major player in the international IT market, explains in her interview with “THEMA” how AI is rapidly transforming the world of business software and what exactly the Group’s solutions offer.

We are living in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). What do you believe are the opportunities and challenges for the business software market?
The era of Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing the world of business software. EPSILONNET Group’s solutions are evolving into “intelligent” platforms that understand a company’s processes, predict operational outcomes, identify opportunities or risks, and immediately suggest the best actions to take.
Our goal remains to make new AI services effective and ready-to-use, fully integrated into our existing systems (ERP, CRM, WMS, HRM, Retail).
Through specialized AI services such as sales forecasting, intelligent opportunity assessment, automated campaign creation, digital conversation assistants, and alert systems for critical indicators, users gain a smarter and more guided experience in software usage. At the same time, our ecosystem allows certified partners to create customized AI solutions, meeting the needs of each industry.
Of course, new opportunities bring new challenges as well, such as transparency and trust in AI usage. Our role is to bridge technology with the real needs of businesses, responsibly and with a human-centered approach.
EPSILONNET Group plays a leading role in the digital transformation of Greek businesses, at a mature stage of this process. How important is this for them, and how far do they still have to go?
Digital transformation is one of the most decisive factors for the competitiveness and sustainability of Greek businesses in an environment that is rapidly changing both technologically and economically.
EPSILONNET Group, with many years of experience in developing integrated solutions for professionals and businesses of all sizes, plays a leading role in this transition to the digital era, providing the tools and infrastructure needed for development. Our solutions are already used by over 170.000 businesses nationwide.
Small and medium-sized enterprises have already made strides toward digital transformation. In this context, they invest in continuous employee and executive training, modern tools (such as AI tools, cloud services, BI & analytics, ERP/CRM/HRM systems), and the integration of digital infrastructures.
Today, more than 110.000 users trust Epsilon Smart, the most advanced web-based e-invoicing solution for freelancers and small businesses, as well as Epsilon Digital, the Electronic Invoicing Provider.
At the same time, PYLON flex, the first web-based subscription ERP & CRM platform in the Greek market, is already used by hundreds of businesses that benefit from cloud infrastructure and AI technical features.
Finally, we continue to lead in the significant labor reform with the Digital Work Card through EPSILON SMART ERGANI, with over 80.000 subscribers.
Beyond business software solutions, companies are also obliged to comply with regulatory frameworks to ensure consistency with tax and other national authorities. Many smaller businesses feel stressed and struggle with the digital workload. What advice do you give them?
Our core principle is a thorough understanding of business needs. We observe that for many SMEs, digital transformation represents a major growth opportunity as well as a process requiring proper guidance and support, particularly regarding regulatory compliance such as myDATA, e-invoicing, digital work card, digital delivery notes, and digital customer registries.
The key is a change in mindset, technology should be seen as a tool for growth, not an obstacle. Professionals have both our solutions and the support of accountants and tax advisors who are familiar with legislative requirements and available digital tools.
Our leadership is driven not only by modern technological tools but also by the fact that we are the only Group with over 1.700 specialized professionals and a fully qualified scientific team.
What is your initial assessment of EPSILONNET Group’s ‘triple alliance’ with General Atlantic and the National Bank of Greece? What are the new plans, and what will the next investments include?
The “triple alliance” of EPSILONNET with General Atlantic and the National Bank of Greece marks a new era of dynamic growth for the Group. The entry of one of the strongest American funds, combined with the strategic partnership with the National Bank of Greece (NBG), provides EPSILONNET with access to international capital, know-how, and new markets.
Furthermore, the collaboration with NBG aims at the joint development of technological applications and business software products, fintech solutions, electronic payment automation, and broader utilization of capabilities within the framework of digital transformation. The main objective is the online integration of the Group’s ERP and Electronic Invoicing applications with NBG’s systems, leveraging the advanced Open Banking platform and innovative technologies in the field of Embedded Finance.
Our new plans include acquisitions and other investments, both in Greece and abroad, estimated at over €100 million within a 5–7-year horizon, aiming at expansion into new markets, strengthening R&D, technological innovation, and organizational restructuring. Indicative initiatives include the creation of incubators for startups, continuous adoption of state-of-the-art technologies, and the relocation of our offices in Athens and Thessaloniki to new, ultra-modern innovation centers.
